Director, Pickleball Open League (Volunteer)

Help lead and operate an LGBTQ+ recreational pickleball league in New York City, overseeing league operations, participant engagement, communications, and community-building initiatives.

• Co-lead seasonal pickleball leagues, coordinating player scheduling, match rotations, venue logistics, and weekly operations
• Organize league activities and oversee participant communications through email, WhatsApp, Pickleheads, and shared scheduling tools
• Coordinate player onboarding, skill-level placement, and league participation to create an inclusive and welcoming experience
• Collaborate with fellow volunteer leaders to resolve operational challenges, improve processes, and deliver consistent programming
• Organize post-play social events that encourage community engagement and relationship-building
• Support the broader BARS mission of fostering inclusive LGBTQ+ recreational sports communities
